Equipped with a dual-core processor and AES-NI hardware encryption engine, DS216+II delivers blazingly fast file transfer speeds — even when handling encrypted data. DS216+II delivers high-speed performance, exceeding 111.78 MB/s reading and writing, while ensuring encrypted data transmissions at over 113.01 MB/s reading and 111.66 MB/s writing.

For friendly and effortless hard drive installation, DS216+II features a screwless drive bay design and hot-swappable support, allowing users to install 3.5" hard drives without a screwdriver. Installing and replacing drives is easier than ever.
4K Ultra HD video transcoding
Powered by a hardware-accelerated transcoding engine, DS216+II allows you to transcode H.264 4K videos to 1080p and stream them to high-definition TVs, digital media players, mobile handsets, and computers in the required format, making it easy to watch videos without having to install a 3rd party player.
Ultimate file center
File Station is a fast and secure feature for sharing and managing your files stored on DS216+II. Just drag-n-drop and upload data from Mac or PC. Advanced filters make it easy to search for documents, photos, or videos. With built-in FTP or email clients, DS216+II lets you organize and share files through an advanced web application effortlessly. You can even share files and folders with others by simply sending a link. Files can be reached on mobile devices via the companion mobile app DS file. HTTPS, SSL/TLS encryption, and link expiry dates also ensure file sharing over the Internet is highly secure.
