The ICY BOX IB-250StU3+BH15 is identical to the IB-250StU3+BH but with a small but fine difference, that three center frames are included. With it the media size does not matter anymore - it could be 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm or even 15mm high; the external enclosure takes care of a small HDD/SSD as well as a big one.
The modern USB 3.0 Interface permits the fastest data transfer rates. Since USB 3.0 has a band width that is about 10 times larger than USB 2.0 and around 1.5 times faster than SATA, the ICY BOX IB-250StU3-B/-BH can reach the super-fast transfer rates in connection with a host and cable that support the USB 3.0 standard.Since USB 3.0 is downwards compatible, the ICY BOX IB-250StU3-B/BH can function well with older USB 2.0 devices. However, only in USB 2.0 band width. The data are well protected thanks to the solid aluminum enclosure. The used materials are not only good looking, but the heat dissipation is also very good, which allows a longer life span for the used HDDs/SSDs.
Technical Progress
USB 3.0 provides a wider bandwidth than USB 2.0 and even a bit more than SATA. So that you are properly prepared for the future!
